This application is intented to work with 30/30 reticles. Such reticles have been designed with range finding in mind, the thin bars on them span 30 inches at 100 yards when the scopes power is at 4x. This enables an experienced shooter to deduce (as opposed to guess or estimate) the range within an acceptable error limit. This application will help you make range calculations using this type of reticles, just enter the target approximate size and the reticle fill rate (percentage of you thin bars filled by the target) and we will do the rest.
